When you're down and troubled
And you need some loving care
And nothing, nothing is going right
Close your eyes and think of me
And soon I will be there
To brighten up even your darkest night
You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
You've got a friend
If the sky above you
Grows dark and full of clouds
And that old north wind begins to blow
Keep your head together
And call my name out loud
Soon you'll hear me knocking at your door
You just call out my name
And you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you
Winter, spring, summer or fall
All you have to do is call
And I'll be there
~ Carole King
Yet, I often wonder... why can I no longer sense you? Distance and time have not altered something I still treasure... you!

I love this song. It was the first song I learned to sign when I took American Sign Language in college because it meant something to me personally. Beautiful sentiment, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of my favourite songs at college. I still sing it (to myself - mt voice is not for publication) quite often.
ReplyDeleteEven if you can't sense us - we're probably lurking!
Just checkin' in. I hope that everything is okay with you...
ReplyDeleteHi. I was blown away by the comment you left on my site today.
ReplyDeleteWhen I began my blog, I thought that if I could inspire a few souls it would all be worth it. I don't have time to visit everyone who comes to see me but I had to stop by and tell you thank you.
Thank you for your honesty.
(and sometimes I'm 'not feelin' it' either!
Tried leaving a comment but it went haywire. Just wondering if you are OK?
